Rotary Club of Shipley
The Rotary Club of Shipley collected £3,376.90 on the morning of 18th November 2016 for Children in Need at two busy junctions one at Baildon and the other at Windhill. The weather was appalling so the effort was that much greater.

Rotary Club of Cambridge Rutherford
The Rotary Club of Cambridge Rutherford organised two collections in the shopping centre on Wednesday 16th November from 4-8pm to coincide with the late night shopping and again on Friday 18th November (Appeal Day) from 8.30am-6pm.

The Rotary Club of Stone and District collected in and around Stone town centre on Friday 18th November - as they have done for the past 19 years.
They took Pudsey on a tour of local schools and nurseries to spread the word and raise cash.

The Rotary Club of Lunesdale (District 1190) will again be collecting for Children in Need at Booths Superstore in Kirkby Lonsdale. The club has collected here very successfully for the last 5 years and this year collected £937. Many thanks to Booths for participating in and supporting this collection.

Rotary Forres is gearing up for its Children in Need Quiz and Raffle, held this year on Saturday 19th November. The quiz involves 30 local businesses, organisations and groups of friends who raise at least £100 each for the charities. Many raise much more. Raffle tickets are sold across the town and drawn on the night. So far the event has raised around £120,000 split equally between Children in Need and local charities.
This year they have donated £2,750 to Children in Need.

Members of Rotary Club of Horsham were back at Gatwick Airport again this year, collecting for Children in Need.
They had 40 volunteers collecting airside and landside in both terminals on 22nd October.
They also organised a Town Centre street party on October 27th in the Carfax, Horsham. Pudsey made an appearance with numerous other fun mascots along with TV personality Dave Benson Phillips. Activities throughout the day coupled with a Halloween Fancy Dress parade.
Across both events, they raised a total of £5,519 for BBC Children in Need

Rotary Club of Misbourne Matins and District 1090
The Rotary Club of Misbourne Matins and Rotarians, Rotaractors and Interacters from District 1090 descended on Heathrow Airport once again on 18th November 2016.
The team had 350 volunteers manning all 4 terminals, landside and airside!
Eve Conway, RIBI President 2016/17 made a visit to all terminals to meet collectors and Heathrow staff.
They also visited 25 local schools with Pudsey in the 4 days leading up to the Heathrow collection.
Overall, they raised £50,781.38 for Children in Need.

The Rotary Club of Reading Matins set up a new collection this year, at Reading Train Station. Starting at 6am and staying until 10pm, they manned the 3 entrances with 6 Rotarians throughout the day.

Carfest 2016Rotary sent volunteers along to the Car and Music festivals in aid of Children in Need, set up by Chris Evans.
Each Rotarian was tasked with selling raffle tickets - this year there were a few cars to be won! A total of £80,000 was raised by the raffle over the two events, one at Bolesworth Castle, Cheshire, the other at Laverstoke Park Farm, Hampshire. The picture on the right is from Carfest North 2016. |
